West Coasters, what's happened to our coast?

Back in the 90's we could hold our heads high and claim to have some of the best emcee's in hip hop. Nowadays it's all this hyphy bullshit. I came home yesterday to find my son and his friends dancing to "You're a jerk". Is that what we've been reduced to? Attempting to make dance songs like The South? What's happened to our coast?
