We want to go to the snow, in September. We want to drive from Syd Australia. Where can we go?

We live in Sydney Australia. We have planned a few days off in September. We are going to drive maybe to cooma or jinderbyne for snow. Is there any snow at that time? Where else can we go for snow activities.
