Proof of the existence of Jesus: Why do people keep bringing up Tacitus and Josephus?

Tacitus wasn't born until about 20 years after the supposed crucifixion (56 AD), and the only mention of a "Christ" or "Jesus" in the writings of Josephus were identified as forgeries over a century ago. Recent examination of context, writing style etc. etc. confirms that they are forgeries. Besides, the name given does not translate to "Jesus", it's Joshuah.
