I have metal allergies, could it be possible I am allergic to my razor blades? I itch unbearably.?

I have problems with dry skin but my legs were getting to be unbearably itchy. I have tried everything down to changing my soap, using cooler water, and baby oil, and the only thing that seems to help is not shaving which was suggested by my sister because she knows I'm allergic to metal. I have been trying to use Nair instead but left unsatisfied. What else can I do? I don't want to be wearing jeans in the summer! haha
