nothing is wrong he just wants to get out of the death trap you call a fish bowl. bettas aren't meant to live in bowl I mean in Asia they live in rice paddies that are acres long, near the equator, with natural filtration and people like you wanna take them away and keep them in tiny, cold, unfiltered bowls. He should be in no less than a 5 gallon with a filter and heater
