Nostalgic, poignant, and beautifully constructed. Then the heartbreaking twist at the end, the displacement of the soul. I feel as though I have visited, "dropped by", a treasured memory. I lived in a tiny old stone house in a small neighborhood in Missouri where the neighbors really did drop by with cerole and sip ice tea together on big porches. That house had a lovely soul, too. Thank you for bringing the memory to mind and brightening my day.
