How can I tell if I have bronchitis or even pneumonia?

I've been sick ever since saturday, december fifteenth. It started with swollen glands and congestion, then it released and my eyes and nose kept running. after that i developed a cough that was just to get the phlegm out of my system, but now it hurts my chest when i cough and my throat is always tickling, and sometimes it's dry and sometimes mucus comes out. i might go to the doctor on monday, but i was just wondering what it could be.
